A catch-all feature that is enabled for a specific e-mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you remove an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled address under the same domain name, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you are running a business, for example. Since you may begin receiving junk messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters in order to get only legitimate messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox without any effort if you have a shared website hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet unbelievably easy to use, and it will permit you to activate various options, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and next to each one of them you will notice a tiny "Catch-all" button. Clicking on it once will activate this option, clicking on it once again will disable it. Since you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you already have another mailbox with this feature activated or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated without difficulty in case you have a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll notice a tiny symbol handily located right next to each one of them. With just a click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option using the contextual menu that will appear. If any of the requirements for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will notify you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
